Mereba joins host Stephen Kallao

Mereba’s musical career has taken her from Greensboro, North Carolina – learning guitar and playing folk music – to becoming a part of Atlanta’s underground music scene and being mentored by Stevie Wonder. Mereba joins World Cafe to talk about making her new album, The Breeze Grew a Fire, being forced to find inspiration quickly when she became a new mother, and about the one time her dad made her connect with her ancestry, by sending her to Ethiopia.

Listen to the session here.
