Rodrigo Amarante joins host Stephen Kallao

Rodrigo Amarante’s latest record started with a memory – the moment when, as an eight year-old growing up in Rio de Janeiro, his father shaved Rodrigo’s head. It ended up shaping his idea of masculinity – which is one of many subjects the new songs reflect on, with lyrics in English and Portuguese. On the next World Cafe, Rodrigo joins host Stephen Kallao to talk about the album, called Drama, and performs live.
