Adrian Quesada joins host Stephen Kallao

Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas has released his first official solo album. It all started when he discovered a Peruvian pop band on the radio named Los Pasteles Verdes. Their 1960s experimentation with traditional bolero music sent Adrian down a rabbit hole leading to the new record, called Boleros Psicodélicos. He shares that story on the next World Cafe, as well as his first introduction to hip hop, and what it was like growing up on the Texas-Mexico border.
