Mickey Guyton has broken down barriers at every step in her career as a black woman in country music. And now, her star is on the rise with the release of her full-length debut, called Remember Her Name. She joins World Cafe’s Nashville correspondent Jessie Scott to explain how Spotify played a primary role in bringing her music into view, like her song “Black Like Me.” And we’ll hear about her experience co-hosting last year’s ACM Awards with Keith Urban.
