Encore: The Mavericks join host Raina Douris
The Mavericks are a band without borders – They make music that’s been classified as country, rock, Tex-Mex, and more! Coming up, World Cafe celebrates over 30 years of The Mavericks with a look back at their session from 2020. En Español, newly released at the time, was their first album recorded entirely in Spanish. In a conversation with singer Raul Malo and guitarist Eddie Perez, we’ll find out about the project, which includes originals, as well as their unique take on some Latin American classics. Plus, hear The Mavericks perform live.
