John Morrison’s Culture Corner with host Raina Douris

This month, Sly & The Family Stone’s 1971 album, There’s A Riot Goin’ On, turns 50. The record was a commercial success, but it was also a big shift for the band – AND, it was kind of weird. World Cafe correspondent John Morrison will dive into this innovative album, exploring the songs and the unique way genres are combined, from blues to psychedelic rock. And, he takes a guess at what Sly might be talking about in “Family Affair.”
