Encore: Watkins Family Hour joins host Stephen Kallao

Siblings Sean and Sara Watkins spent over 30 years playing music together alongside Chris Thile in the popular bluegrass band, Nickel Creek. But along the way, they formed their own live act as Watkins Family Hour. The project developed over several years of improvised sets at L.A. nightclub, Largo, with friends they brought in, like Jackson Browne and Mandy Moore. Today, the duo performs songs from their album Brother Sister, and we’ll hear the story of the first time they wrote a song together.
