Bruce Hornsby has teamed up with countless musicians over the years, from the Grateful Dead to Bon Iver, not to mention being sampled by dozens of hip-hop artists for his 1986 hit “The Way It Is.” Hornsby’s new album is called Non-Secure Connection — This time he’s joined by James Mercer of The Shins and the late Leon Russell.
