Hiss Golden Messenger joins host Stephen Kallao

Hiss Golden Messenger sounds more jubilant than they ever have on their latest record, so it’s no surprise the North Carolina folk band named it Jump for Joy. On the World Cafe, we sit down with frontman MC Taylor to talk about how the band’s new album is a reaction to past work and how his side project, Revelators Sound System, inspired the record’s sound.

Listen to the session here.
