Kathleen Edwards’ new album, Total Freedom, marks her return to music after eight years. Back in 2012, she had decided to quit the business altogether and opened a coffee shop, the aptly named Quitters Coffee. Since then, she’s been waking up at the crack of dawn to work in her Ontario cafe – And it took an unexpected phone call from Nashville to disrupt her new life and bring her back to music. We’ll hear that story today, and Kathleen performs songs from the new record, live.
