Hr 1: Questlove w/ host Raina Douris, Hr 2: Janis Ian w/ host Raina Douris

Janis Ian, who’s been making music for almost six decades, released her song “Society’s Child” at just 14 years old. Written about an interracial romance, the track provoked some serious backlash in 1960s America – But also became her first hit. Fast forward decades later, and the new album from Janis, which will be her final release, includes ANOTHER song that some radio stations won’t play. We’ll hear all about it as Janis joins host Raina Douris on an encore edition of the World Cafe. And she performs a set from the record, called The Light At The End Of The Line, live.
