WXPN’s Concert Picks: The Lone Bellow, Iron & Wine, Gladie, More
The week of upcoming concerts in the region is packed with WXPN favorites. From Courtney Barnett to Gladie, SNACKTIME to Annabelle Dinda, the week ahead has oodles of great tunes in store.

Friday: Wheatus at 118 North
Back in 2000, Long Island rockers Wheatus released one of the most iconic pop rock songs for a generation of Gen Xers and early Millennials: “Teenage Dirtbag.” More than 25 years later, Wheatus is still at it. Catch them with Jounce in Wayne Friday, because their Saturday show at Milkboy in Philly is sold out.
Saturday: Gladie at The First Unitarian Church
Local faves Gladie are due for a killer show at the church Saturday and will be joined by Noun and Mopar Stars. We love them here at WXPN. Check out their Free At Noon show and Key Studio Session, both from 2023. Also for a bit of synergy with the Wheatus shows, listen to frontwoman Augusta Koch’s cover of “Teenage Dirtbag” with Queen of Jeans.
Sunday: Annabelle Dinda at The First Unitarian Church
Our May Artist To Watch is hosting a special seated show in the church’s sanctuary Sunday evening. The Main Line native’s star is seriously rising, with her hit song “The Hand” skyrocketing to millions of Spotify listens and her addition to Noah Kahan’s huge upcoming tour.
Monday: Iron & Wine at Union Transfer
Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam recently sat down for an interview and performance with World Cafe host Raina Douris. He’s back in Philly Monday to play Union Transfer, with Home Improvement supporting.
Tuesday: Courtney Barnett at The Fillmore
Are you sensing a trend? The coming week is stacked with some of our favorites artists performing in and around Philly. Courtney Barnett is set to play in Fishtown with Momma and Truman Sinclair hot off the release of her new album, Creature of Habit.
Wednesday: The Lone Bellow at Sellersville Theater
The New York indie folk group with strong ties to WXPN — they’ve played XPoNential Festival, NON-COMM, Free At Noon, and more — is out on tour in support of their sixth album, What A Time To Be Alive, and they’re swinging through the ‘burbs for a show with Eli Kollman next week.
Thursday: SNACKTIME at Broad Commons Park (Doylestown)
You can catch Philly’s premier soul-funk band SNACKTIME for no charge next week up in Doylestown as part of the borough’s Concerts at the Commons series. They’ll be joined by local jazz fusion band Colacore at the show.
