The Sound Of Animals Fighting announce their first shows in seven years (playing The Trocadero 3/20)
Experimental rock outfit The Sound Of Animals Fighting recently announced that they will play a string of five shows this upcoming March, and that they will kick it all off at The Trocadero. The band has not been active in recent years; their most recent performance was in 2006, and their most recent release was The Ocean and the Sun back in 2008. Despite the seemingly short life span of the band, they have a cult following for their bizarre samples and time signatures. Oh, and for Anthony Green screaming over breakneck riffs and spastic drums. Fronted by the Circa Survive frontman (who we’re featuring this week in the Unlocked series), the band consists of current and former RX Bandits members Matt Embree, Chris Tsagakis and Rich Balling. From the band’s Facebook page:
In the signature spirit of The Sound of Animals Fighting’s always unique ventures, fans can again expect a one-of-a-kind experience at the upcoming tour dates, complete with intimate vignette solo performances by the likes of Embree, Green, and C-Gak as they enter the shows.
If you need more evidence that this show is going to be crazy, check out a video of one of their older performances below. Buy tickets to the show at The Troc here starting Friday November 15th at noon.
