Philadelphia folk singer-songwriter Former Belle‘s newest track, “Old Ghost,” has a name that fits its sound. The track definitely has a haunting air to it that leaves the listener with a chill. It’s smooth and easy to listen to, but that’s what makes it even more evocative. That consonant melody with Bruno Catrambone’s breathy vocals is an eerie combination; listening, it feels like someone is watching you. It’s a creeping sensation that will make you shudder when Catrambone voice says the final word and the track drops into silence. The beautiful track is the first to premiere off of Former Belle’s new B-Sides EP, Old Ghost. The EP will be full of previously-unreleased songs, recorded with Catrambone’s backing band, and it is set for release in its entirety on June 23rd. Listen to “Old Ghost” below and see Former Belle perform on June 27th at Bourbon & Branch with Our Griffins, Maitland and Jeremiah Tall.
