Fans trickled into Union Transfer Thursday night for a stacked lineup of indie pop and American rock. The show featured Missouri’s Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Kansas duo Mates of State, and closed with the slew of sunny rockers known as The Rentals.
 Each band seemed to have its own obsessive fan base, screaming along with favorite songs from the early 2000’s; all three artists also played newer tunes. But by The Rentals set, arriving on stage at 10:30, the packed stage mirrored the abundant audience; everybody pressed forward to be beneath vocalist Matt Sharp as he trampled around with a microphone. After an August release of a new LP, The Rentals’ fans were psyched to hear tunes both new and old, and scream along with the animated Sharp. Check out photos from the show in the gallery below.
