Here’s a sample of what’s coming up this Monday night at 8pm on our New Music Show:

“This Is How It Feels” by RICHARD ASHCROFT

The Verve will always be known for the success (and controversy) of “Bittersweet Symphony” and that’s despite the fact their work excelled beyond that. RICHARD ASHCROFT, the leader of the band, has continued with a solo career that’s seen, again, some underrated releases.  He has readied a new album due out next month, These People and here’s a sample of what’s to come.

“Phenomenal Woman” by LAURA MVULA

She was an XPN Artist to Watch just a few years ago, and for good reason. An angelic voice, and stunning presence, British soul singer-songwriter LAURA MVULA is set to release her sophomore album this June. The Dreaming Room picks up where she left off three years ago, and “Phenomenal Woman” is a good reintroduction.

First Impression Artist: BRASS BED

We’ll shine our First Impression spotlight on the 3-piece rock band BRASS BED. From Lafayette, Louisiana the band has been at it since 2004 and just released their 3rd album called In The Yellow Leaf. Despite their Lafayette roots, the band’s sound is a far reach from any Cajun, Zydeco or Brass Band expectations.  Brass Bed possess a rock lean with great harmonies and psychedelic undertones totally worthy of your ears.  We’ll dig in on the show!
