Commonwealth Choir | Photo by Wendy McCardle | wendymccardle.com

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard new material from local rockers, Commonwealth Choir. Thankfully, the four-piece has just gifted us with some jam-worthy, guitar-filled goodness through ways of Philly-based label, Know Hope Records.

Featured on the label’s compilation, Solidarity in Sound, which benefits the ACLU, Commonwealth Choir’s track “Dark Times” is a hopeful and resilient anthem perfect for today’s wayward atmosphere. In a recent Facebook post, the band states: “this song speaks to the importance of standing up for what’s right – not just for yourself but also loved ones & the world around us.”

Though this track won’t be featured on Commonwealth Choir’s next album, you can rest assured that a new release is in the works. And if it’s anything like this single, more new music will be well worth the wait. Listen to “Dark Times” below, and donate what you can to support the ACLU.
