Members of Philadelphia’s tech, digital, marketing, law, business, food, music, and sports industry communities are all coming together tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24, for WhatsNext, a one day virtual festival for the tech and startup community. WhatsNext is a shaping up to be an exciting, not-your-usual virtual business conference for emerging growth companies and investors.

With music performances scattered through the day from Low Cut Connie, Arnetta Johnson and Hiss Golden Messenger, some of the speakers that day will include Jason Kelce and Connor Barwin of the Philadelphia Eagles, Tom Henneman and Matt Fein of Federal Donuts, and employees from Comcast, Guru, Philly Tech Sistas, Crossbeam, and others. Additionally, Shawn Gee, manager of the Roots, Jill Scott, Nicky Minaj and President of Live Nation Urban will be the featured Q&A, after a live set by Hiss Golden Messenger. There will also be an open mic hour presented by Rec Philly.

WhatsNext was created by Philly Music Festival founder Greg Seltzer, who is a partner at Ballard Spahr, About the festival, Seltzer said:

“My team at Ballard has been cooking-up the WhatsNext concept for a few years. I always imagined it as a virtual festival, even before COVID, as the virtual platform allows for content and performances and access that is not affordable in a physical setting – not affordable for Ballard to produce and, more importantly, not affordable for attendees. Conferences with this level of expertise and performances and speeches by bands and athletes of the caliber we have – admission would typically be $500 to $1,000. We are so proud that admission to WhatsNext is free – it levels the playing field for a diverse group to access the content and network with each other through the cutting-edge tech platform, Hopin.”

WhatsNext begins tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24th at 11:30am and goes through 6pm. The event is free, and you can register here.
