Album release days are heating up! This week, lo-fi pop wizard beabadoobee conjures her childhood wonderland on Beatopia. It should come as no surprise that Lizzo’s Special is brimming with irresistible hooks and instantly iconic lyrics. Dave Hartley is joined by several of his bandmates from The War on Drugs for Moonshine, his fourth album as Nightlands. Multimedia art collective Superorganism pare down their membership (but pile in the guests) on the sleek, ambitious World Wide Pop.
New York luminaries Interpol reconvene for The Other Side of Make-Believe, their seventh album of thundering, moody rock. Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath and Daughter of Swords’ Alexandra Sauser-Monnig (themselves two thirds of Mountain Man) trade playful harmonies on Fruit, their debut as The A’s. Philly’s premier marching band fusion collective, Snacktime, are bursting with party-starting spirit on their debut, Sounds from the Street Live. PRESS PLAY on these new releases (and others) below…
