The last XPoNential performer has been confirmed! Following up on his recent Met Philly gig supporting Marcus King, Chicago-based singer-songwriter and pianist Neal Francis will join us at the Camden Waterfront on Sunday, September 18th, the same night as headliners Jenny Lewis and Kathleen Edwards.

XPN listeners will remember Francis from his dazzling virtual performance at NON-COMM in 2021, and his Free At Noon set this past February. Missed Francis perform at either one of these sets? Perhaps you’ve heard his nostalgia-fueled “You Can’t Stop the Rain” featuring Derek Trucks on slide guitar on the air recently, as he was a WXPN Artist To Watch in November of 2021.

Francis’s brand of Midwest blues mixed with classic rock fits in naturally with our eclectic 2022 lineup. Fun fact, Neal Francis’s drummer PJ Howard is part of The Revivalists, playing the night before at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. Tickets for all three dates of XPoNential Music Festival are still available at xpnfest.org as well as at the gate on the day-of.
