It’s a good week for Philly stars getting to collab with their faves. Following up on Kurt Vile’s guest vocal turn with Pavement, on Friday night New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem closed their headlining show at The Met Philly with their first big hit, “The ’59 Sound,” and they brought out Britt Luna of XPN faves Catbite onstage to join them on vocals.

The band has dubbed the collab Catlite Anthem, which sounds like an awesome idea for a Halloween covers set at Gainesville’s legendary Fest. Not this year, though, since Catbite currently has plans to present the hXc version of their self-titled debut (aka Catfite) at the Florida DIY / punk gathering, as well as a warmup October 24th show at The Ukie Club.

Catbite proper also has a headlining show November 11th at the First Unitarian Church with Bacchae and Take Today. More information on both shows can be found at the XPN Concerts and Events page; watch Luna onstage with The Gaslight Anthem below.
