We’re closing out #TBTXPN with the music visionary, Peter Gabriel.

The Genesis co-founder turned solo artist turned activist and visionary producer had a strong interest in world music rhythms and textures, which is showcased throughout his music catalog. Gabriel’s interests and intelligent and introspective lyrics would help move progressive rock to new levels of theatricality. His album ‘So’ was accompanied by a series of groundbreaking visuals, that would launch him into international pop-stardom. Gabriel capitalized on his newfound success by creating his label Real World, which proved to be an invaluable channel for international artists from a variety of genres. Throughout his career, Gabriel focus would remain on leaving the world a better place through his music and activism garnering the reputation as a true nobleman of the pop world.

After nine years, Gabriel is back with world tour to support his album i/o with a stop in Philly at the Wells Fargo Center on September 16. Check out our Concert Calendar for more information and listen throughout the day as we highlight Gabriel’s music.
