Morning Show
Music has been intrinsic to my life for as long as I can remember. My childhood home in Downingtown, PA was filled with the sounds of singing, guitar strumming, clarinet honking, and of course, the radio playing. Dad was an MGK kinda guy and Mom loved B101. I myself was a Y100 kid. That station was magic! The DJ’s felt like friends who played the perfect songs at the exact right moments. When my favorite host gave me passes to my first concert (a Sonic Session when I was 13), that was it! I decided I wanted to work in radio so I too could uplift artists that deserved to be heard and connect them with people who needed to hear them.
I attended Emerson College in Boston to study at WERS while I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Visual & Media Arts, and was hired part-time at WBOS during my junior year. Upon graduating, I moved to Spokane, WA to host afternoons on KZZU and eventually also became the Music Director & midday host at KEZE. After a couple years of double duty, I landed the Assistant Program Director gig at KGSR in Austin, TX, where I also did middays and booked & interviewed bands for our SXSW & ACL broadcasts.
Fun fact — I did freelance voiceover for Y-Rock on XPN long before I was hired for the morning show and given the Assistant Music Director title here in 2015! I am incredibly fortunate to have followed my career full circle back home to Philadelphia.
When I’m not reviewing or playing music on-air, I like to make it at home. I also love to write, bake, and travel with my husband. We currently live in Delco with our many pets. LET’S GO FLYERS!
