Fronted by Michelle Zauner, the band will release their third album on June 4th. Zauner also recently published her (excellent) memoir, Crying In H Mart. You can a review of the book by Catherine Ricketts (former staff member and freelancer) on The Key.
Additionally, Zauner wrote an essay for the New Yorker in August that, like the book, is worth the read.
While the band has been making music together since 2016, with the new album, and Michelle’s memoir, the band is poised for wider attention. Japanese Breakfast will also be doing a World Cafe interview during Non-COMM.
